A Huge Favor (TIME SENSITIVE)

Dear Family,

First off, I'm crossing a line I've set for myself by sending tangental
topics to this rainbow gathering list. That being said, I've come
asking respectfully for your help on an issues of civil rights.

In California we have a proposition on the ballot that would take
away civil rights and destroy our promise of equality of all. It's called
Proposition 8 and it would amend the constitution of the State of
California to prohibit some people from marrying (specifically same
sex couples).

As you can imagine, this campaign is getting ugly and
because the outcome of this election will have repercussions across
the country, money is pouring in to legalize discrimination (a yes on Prop 8 vote)
from people who don't get that civil marriage and their religious beliefs are apples
and oranges.

Today, I'm asking for your help in guaranteeing equal rights for
all people. If you are registered to vote in the State of California,
please VOTE NO ON PROP 8 (http://www.noonprop8.org).

If have any friends in California, please give them a call today and
make sure they are voting NO ON 8.

When I'm doing phone banking for the No on 8 Campaign, we have a script
to follow, but you are my family and I'm sharing my heartsong about
this issue with you.

When states began legalizing interracial marriage, many people were opposed
for a variety of reasons. Well the sky didn't fall then and it won't fall now.
I personally believe that there
isn't enough love in this world and if two people love each other enough
to make a legally binding contract with each other to share not only
the good times, but the bad, then what business does our government have
telling some people their love doesn’t matter enough for them to get
married. And no, a civil partnership is not the same thing.

This issue is THE civil rights struggle of the early 21st century.
Please help justice prevail. Let's get out the vote and get people
to JUST SAY NO to government sanctioned discrimination.

Blessings family.

Love,
Karin

First they came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.

Today(Sunday) I am uploading and updating my site and I figure it should be online sometime next week.
A bit early to notify but I lack an internet connection were I live, and I will be attending a workshop for 2 weeks and my internet time will be brief, if any at all.

Enjoy the music, I believe it is my favorite collection to date. Listen and/or download and pass it on...

Find it here... http://rainbowtribe.net/

Thanks to those who have continued to make this a fun project.
---tenali---

PS Please don't email me saying I don't see it yet, give it time and the WY2008 button will appear to honor your ears...

July 3 Incident in Wyoming (Kid Village)

As you can imagine, the arrest of a suspect in Kid Village during their dinner circle with pepper spray and rubber bullets fired is a hot topic.

That being said, one of the brothers who was there will be meeting with staffers of congressional representatives on July 15 to show video of the event and review eye witness accounts with the hopes of asking Congress to hold a hearing.

To that end, if you have an eye witness statement, please email me a complete statement of what you witnessed along with your legal name, phone number and address. If you have video or still photography of the incident, I will have an ftp site setup in a day or two or email me links from You Tube.

Just a reminder family, never circle the cops. Sit down and OM!

Also,

Ben Neary, Reporter is interested in interviewing eye witnesses.
He's a reporter with the Associated Press in Cheyenne.
1-800-442-2451
bneary@ap.org

And finally,

The American Civil Liberties Union plans to investigate how federal law enforcement officers
treated members of the Rainbow Family during their annual gathering this year in western Wyoming.

If you were a witness to the event that took place in Kiddie Village on July 3rd, please contact the Wyoming ACLU. 307-637-4565, Wyoming ACLU, PO Box 20706, Cheyenne, WY 82003 or
acluwy@aol.com http://www.aclu-wy.org/

They say they will be taking collect calls for the next two weeks from witnesses.

Love,
Oji kitchen heading out now from Cali

We got the truck with the trailer, Eurovan loaded over the top, Ford van crammed with food, and another truck with trailer coming from the east. Brining a combination of yoga camp, raw food kitchen, main circle ktichen, heart song fire circle campfire, and yoga tea kitchen all in one. We got the kind water filters, whole bunch of food grade buckets (sprouts) propane oven, and even a propane refrig. If you need a weeding cake baked at the gathering, you know where to go. When you get served green salad at the main circle you know where it came from.

If we hook up with other family to set something up big that's great! If we don't that will be great too! We don't scream out yoga before class, but will wisper into the wind to make the announcement. I will bring my zendo ( the hexagonal screen thing that was at Cali and Colorado yoga meadow) for all to use. We like the ground yoga ( no tarps and eating dirt)

Come join us. All are welcomed to camp around our wonderful humongous kitchen....................................

We Love You, Joji

Reply to this Poll: How many people DO WANT to come Home to a Yoga Camp this year at Wyoming gathering?

As of now there are no plans for a Yoga Camp to be formed at the Wyoming 2008 Rainbow gathering... a Yoga Camp such as a beautiful central bodywork/energywork/dance/yoga space like those that have been created at past gatherings. I've learned this from writing to prior Yoga Camp focalisers, including moderator Freedom-ji.

Are you OK with this? Or would you like to have a Yoga Camp again, as before? Remember, it takes your personal involvement to make it happen. If you have a positive feeling about seeing Yoga Camp manifest, then please chime in your 2 cents to this topic... maybe with a word or two saying why you want it.

.... and a few tools. I am planning to show up at seedcamp WY/08 about mid-June. Anyone moved by Spirit, or your guru of choice, to kick in with some energy or materials, is welcome to join me in creating a bodywork space. I am reluctant to call it YogaCamp because I could never do it as good as it's been done before without alot and lots of help. Call it what you want, I will be teaching Thai Yoga Massage workshops... and the space will be made open for all who want and wish to do any kind of body work - energy work workshop, be it yoga, dance, massage, &Cetera.

Again, you're all welcome to come join with me to make something happen. If you're not moved to combine, then wish me luck and get out of the way.

Family,

We are gearing up down here in so cal. We pulled all of our kitchen gear together and started buying food. We have decided to cominbe our kitchen with another major northern calif kitchen to pull of a huge rainbow family kitchen. Not just one kitchen but the following......

RAW FOOD STATION - We are bringing food grade buckets to sprout. Bringing many sharp knives and cutting boards. We may have a bug free zone to chop. WHERE IS ARJAY???????? You need to be our main chef!!!!! Main circle salad tradition. I want to keep it going ever since California. We did Colorado and Arkansas. Patch did Cali.

BUDDHA'S TEA HOUSE - This will be anchored by the Phoenix coffee house crew out of Cleveland Ohio. Adam, I hope you are bringing at least 50 pound of coffee!!!

MAIN CIRCLE MOVIE - This part of the ktichen is going to crank out food !!!! We already have four 10,000 btu burners, two double stoves, a commerical propane stove (to bake cake), propane refrigerator, and massive amounts of pots and pans (including four 40" woks) We have lined up two professional chefs (real chefs in Babylon)

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP - Anybody hip to the rainbow kitchen scene know that there is a major coproate sponsor for food at the rainbow. All of their stuff usually goes to kiddie village, but I am going to cut a deal with George over at Organic Valley Farms. Hey kickapoo use to have this set up and since we are really gearing up for feed over 1,000 per day, we need food! I already put out over $500 and other family folks put out more. Plus all the kids on food stamps.

RAINBOW READING LIBRARY - We think Josh and his crew is going to come through and camp next to us. These are the kids that haul cases of books to the gathering.

YOGA - We are going to have yoga and I am going to teach my zen class. I would like to get other yoga teachers involved. Not going to compete with yoga camp, but an alternative to it. Smaller in scale and more intimate vibe

MUSIC - We are going to build a mini stage. We don't want to compete with Arron Funk, but we want heart songs campfire vibe at our kitchen.

OUR KITCHEN IS OPEN TO ALL!!! EVERYBODY IS WELCOME TO PLUG IN. YOU CAN ALSO CAMP HERE IF YOU LIKE. YOU CAN ALWAYS CALL ME ON MY CELL 310-621-6288, I AM ALSO IN THE RAINBOW GUIDE REGION 13

Funds for CALM, Drinking Water and Scouting for Wyoming Gathering

So when going to a gathering, people often donate money to the Magic Hat to cover food and other supplies. This is awesome. However, for some supplies, it's easier for the money to be available before the gathering as needed supplies aren't always available adjacent to our gathering sites.

So for those of you who want to donate to CALM (First Aid) there is a link to a PayPal account on a CALM Website: http://welcomehome.org/rainbow/calm/. (and lots of other cool information). The folks focalizing this are great and trustworthy people and work long and hard at the gathering to heal all of us. Let's help them out by sharing some green energy.

A incredible brother named Hawker does a huge amount to bring safe drinking water to the gathering. Find out about his systems and how you can help with your energy - both physical and green at http://www.ashevillecommunity.org/hawker/water/. Plus this is an awesome resource for folks interested in safe drinking water systems.

Folks are out scouting now. Due to the high cost of gas, every donation to scouting is appreciated. Montana Mudd is helping in this area. Contact them for information on
how to contribute: 1-406-222-5662 or lovmontanamud@yahoo.com
Or you can send a money order to Jim Anderson P.O.Box 2355 Livingston Montana 59047

If you have ten dollars to spare, think of sharing with the family and
by doing so you'll help create an awesome gathering.

PS None of the people associated with these functions asked me to do this.
I'm just sharing information on where green energy would be very useful in
the next couple of weeks.

Yoga & Bodywork Workshops in Mexico

This website will tell you more about the gathering in Mexico:

http://www.cenotes.com/save/rainbow/ire1.html

We are planning a bodywork space inspired by YogaCamp at the American gatherings. This Galactic Gathering in Mexico is now in SeedCamp phase, meaning that people from world round are even now begining to gather. The gathering will officially last until February, and then go into becoming a permanent community....Some of you may want to get in on that.

This is a great opportunity for all bodyworkers, wether yoga, massage, dance, meditation.... to creatively present a workshop in their particular art, or else to participate in someone elses' workshop, or else simply to carry on doing your individual practice in a beautiful tropical setting among chill shanti brothers and sisters all around......

Plenty of Bhajan-Kirtan singing 24/7 at all of these international gatherings.

Love-Shanti-Om-Paz

Namaste, ...nice day,...Namaskar!

For those planning to gather with us in Old Mexico (now until February) at the Inter-Galactic Tribes of Love & Light Get-it-on-together-ing, I would love to share my Vision. Once again we will re-create our Bodywork Collective, [very similar to YogaCamp] in a quiet shady flat grassy corner of our Gather. I am calling all bodywork practicioners of all modalities & traditions, to come together to teach/learn/participate in the healthful, wholesome, energy-building bodywork practice of your choice.

If you feel called to take part, then talk to us. Share your own inspired Vision on how we can translate The Dream to practical reality. We'll need big tarps, a suitable corner of the gathering to be set aside, participation, and much else besides.

Hug you....in 5 minutes...Mexico!

So, who can or can not make it this year? Or is it too early to guess?

Will you be galavanting in Bolivia, or dancing in Greece?
Riding a motorcycle in Chile, or street fighting in Brazil?

What about yoga camp and making it beautiful again for everyone.

greatly appreciated. sometimes when you don't see something for a while you begin have a hard time remembering what it looked like, and then you start looking for something else,
Rainbow Gathering May California Regional

Family,

We plan on focalizing a variation of the yoga arts healing camp (we are going to call ourselves the shiva camp), at the upcoming May California regional gathering in Mendo. We are going to set up a veggie kitchen just like Colorado. Also unlike the nationals last year, we are really going to focus on yoga instead of other new age type workshops. If you want to teach, drop of a line.

The gathering is for two weeks starting right before Memorial Day Weekend. Directions will come out at the very last minute. Hopefully the focalizers will post it on Tribe, but most likely not.

We Love You,

PS: the scroll desert gathering back in Feb. was really cool!!!! Lots of heartsong, drum circles and the mad doser showed up!!!

Did you like the Arkansas gathering????

More question marks????

I had a great time in Arkansas, even though I worked my ass off as usual feeding main circle. I made sure that I did not camp near the belt way or the "trendy camp area" because, 1) I broke off from yoga camp this year 2) I did not think folks would apreciate another kitchen (there were four kitchens within a one quarter mile area) 3) Way too muddy in this area 4) Why do people like to go way out in the woods so that their tent is only 6 feet away from their neighbor?

Anyway I had a nice dry spot, the Feds discovered my kitchen on the 4th, I was out by the 5th. I was next to musical kitchen and nic a nite. They turned out to be one of the most chill camps. We called ourselves the "Siva Burn Lounge" What was that??? Served chai tea and fed main circle. Happy to report that this was our second national to serve fresh green salad to the family.

The main focalizers were missing this year. This includes Seven and gang. The Austin healers and Dharma ran the show. Personally, I think they lost their focus on the theme of yoga camp. What theme camp?? I thought this was Burning Man??? Anyway hopefully with Freedom, Mark, and Xylem back for the Wyoming show, it should be a well focalized camp. I will camp next to you and serve chai tea and feed main circle, but I will not be info for the yoga camp like Colorado and California.

Anyway, Why are you guys on the yoga arts healing camp tribe page, and bitching about yoga camp. We don't need negative feedback, we need positive energy on this page so we can keep the spirit happening. Please tell us nice stories of yoga camp. If you want to complain about yoga camp, go to AGR, a way better forum for bitching.

Be positive and lets put forth the energy for Wyoming. I posted a few photos of Arkansas on my page on tribe.

WE LOVE YOU...........namaste

Council meeting on the future of the Black's Beach Rainbow drum circle in San Diego

The gathering at Black's Beach is sick and needs focused intention to fix it. The alcohol energy is out of control and more help is needed at clean up. Please do get involved if you are staying in Southern California and you possibly can. Dedicated Rainbow Warriors are needed. Here are details I recieved about the time and place of council. Love you all.

>Saturday, October 13 @ noon @ Stonehenge on the UCSD Campus
>- across from the Che Cafe.
>"A council to discuss how to create a safe, sane full moon circle
>at black's beach that supports peace and healing and the positive
evolution
>of the planet. All people who attend or want to attend the full
>moon circle are strongly encouraged to come and share their ideas
>and suggestions"
I heard through the grapevine that more detailed information may
be available at the Sunday afternoon circle in Balboa Park.
Visit http://home.earthlink.net/~scrollinfo for directions.

Just an FYI, Rainbow councils are open to everyone and the more
people come and share their thoughts the better. NO EXPERIENCE
NECESSARY
If you haven't participated in a Rainbow Family Council, you might
want to check out this link and get an idea of what to expect
http://www.welcomehome.org/rainbow/focalizers/council-mini.html

We have held councils at this location in the past to discuss issues
with the Full Moon Circle. The directions we used in the past were

Directions: Stonehenge is at the Southwest end of the UCSD campus
adjacent (just north) of the Theater District.

If you're coming by car, from Interstate 5 exit La Jolla Village
Drive and go west. Get in the far right lane as soon as you are west
of the Interstate. Exit onto Gilman Drive North (the far right lane
will veer off onto Gilman Drive. Turn left on Scholars Drive South
(the first left). Continue past the Che Cafe. Stonehenge is just past
the Che on the right hand side of the road. For parking, continue
past Stonehenge and turn right into parking lot P103 (the first lot
on the right). No parking permit is required on weekends.

If you're coming by bus: take the North County Bus 101 or San Diego
Transit buses 30 or 41 and get off at La Jolla Village Drive at
Revelle College/Theatre District. Walk north past the theaters. We'll
be south of Revelle Plaza.

Pippi here.... spoke with Seven, Dharam and Garuda today.
Do not fret, there will be a Yoga Camp at Nationals this year.

Does anyone know if Xylem is planning to attend?

We are working on getting tarps and/or pool covers, anyone able to bring one?

Dharam and I have markers, Garuda may bring the dry erase boards from Seven.
Tentative arrival dates: me 27th, Dharam 25th, Garuda 18th
So far the input for location of camp is near Kid Village, main circle and designated signage for Drug Free or smoke/alcohol free.

It will all work out. What can you do to help set up so that it does?

Come find me, I'll help facilitate the schedule...
You can't miss me, I have red dreadlocks :)
Peace, Love & Harmony, Pippi
PS. Seems that Joji is taking on a new project, possibly no kitchen this year for yoga camp???

Hare Om!
At the Thailand World Gathering last December, some of us got together to do a Yoga Camp of our own. I was honored to be called to present a 7-day Thai Yoga Massage workshop. Many others focalised other bodywork/energywork subjects. I want to share some pictures taken there. My profile has about 2o images uploaded showing some of the moves I teach. I could benefit from your comments, and suggestions for improvements. This coming summer, there will be RboGs in Bosnia, Germany, and other Europe lands. We want to continue the YogaCamp tradition in all of these places. Hope to see yall somewhere on the Rainbow Trail.

Om  Namoh Sangha,

Greetings All,

I must sadly report that Yoga Bare was killed on Monday the 7th of May in Gainesville, FL. Much grieving and joyful rememberance has passed through the G'ville community these past two weeks. Yoga Bare was loved by many.

Know that he was in his practice when he was taken from this world. Briefly, he was returning by bicycle from a yoga class a few miles outside of G'ville proper. On the return trip along a major highway, a vehicle ran into him, causing irreprable brain damage and soon after, death. He owned a van, but did not drive that night because he had no riders. It was along ride, twenty miles round trip, but his commitment to his practice brought him to the moment of tradgedy.

Send prayers and blessings from where ever you're at right now. Yoga Bare is now with us in a different way, his bouncy, silly-loving energy an inspiration us all.

My words cannot do this soul justice in this brief space.

May all of your lights shine as brightly, burning rememberence through time and space of an undying commitment to love and deep involve ment with community...

Much Love,
Seven

Harmony & blessings.

So I just started working this job as a dishwasher at a fraternity house here in Boulder, CO. and they throw out pounds and pounds of meat. It's beef-chop one day, grilled chicken the next, and sloppy joes just this afternoon. I can't stop eating these pounds and pounds of meat that would otherwise be thrown out.

I walk a little faster down dark alleyways. When I'm in the convenience store, all of a sudden I feel real tough - like I could knaw at a cow or a pig if one walked by.

But then there's the farm a few miles outside of town. We've got four cute, little chickens that love to hop into your lap when you're playing drums to the sunset. I ask myself, "Could I eat you, little chicken?"

Ram Das is right. The rooster sees. I don't think I could do it. These wonderful, little creatures.

And then it's back to work, washing dishes - and drooling over the roast beef sandwhiches. Have mercy. John Travolta was right, too. Bacon tastes good. Pork chops taste good.

What to do? I was becoming a vegetarian before I started this job. And now I feel all carnivorous and shit.

any advice would be great,
juicy, tough, and meaty in boulder

Violence & Yoga: the truth behind the lies

Finally, an unbiased report on what has hitherto been "swept under the rug." I've said it over and over, but everyone told me I am "an idiot", or "full of crap"
but this new study reported by the WIRE finally sheds some light on the subject.

Women who practice yoga more than three times a week are 78% more likely to be considered "bitchy" by their alcoholic male friends. Unbelievable.

Men who do yoga regularly show patterns of spousal abuse, especially among drug using practioners. Yoga practioners who smoke crack - cocaine, in 99% of cases, are more likely to have spent time in jail for violent crimes than children who did not practice yoga during the same periods.

In more than 63% of the case studies, both females and (oddly enough) males - showed higher tendencies towards abusive patterns proportional to yoga practice. In children ages 8-11, the results were astonishing.

It's exactly what everyone at yoga camp has been saying all along. Why do yoga, when you can go out to the singles club and have a martini?

I was only doing yoga for all the hot women anyways - so now with the release of this study I'm pretty sure that all the ladies will go to the club instead.

Harmony & blessings,
Silly_Love Light

great and everyone I met there was stellar. Thanks for one of the very best camps/ashrams I've ever been to!!!

CRUISE THE MED...DOCUMENTARY FILM MAKING

Beginning in March next year, we are inviting 9 people to cruise from Bodrum, Turkey along the Turkish coast, Cyprus, Athens, Alexandria on a share expenses basis (very, very inexpensive). We began a documentary in Paris and Turkey last year, and now as it gets warmer in Turkey we are going to complete it. We have a US distributor, and everyone involved will share in profits. It could be quite profitable for you and a real life changer. We are in pre-production of three others...one on black jazz in Paris after WWII until now. We have a Turkish captain/crew/cook on our 70' Gulet, 6 double staterooms still available, all with their own head (toilet and shower). Qualifications? Simply to be able to get along with people. Age? Our producer is 60, our editor is 25. Age inmaterial if you are young in spirit. If you have video experience (HD MiniDV PAL and Final Cut Pro, writing) all the better, but we are doing this to perhaps expand the focus of our documentary which is based on the mystical aspects of Alexander the Great - Title: Force of Evidence. Creative people get free reign as long as they don't sink the ship or the project. We are interested to add some human interest...profound, provocative, funny...to the program, so film making experience in not a requirement. Come for a week or two months. Email me for details.

West coast rainbow gathering

I am getting calls from family all up and down the state for a big west coast regional gathering, most likely Cali. The SCROLL family is focalizing something at the beginning of the year. Could be a desert bash or a forest gathering. The Oregon family has a really nice regional going on right now around the Ashland area which goes until beginning of November. Unfortunalty no one set up a mini-yoga camp.

Anyway, I plan on setting up a Shiva camp at these regionals for next year. This is going to be a hybrid of the yoga camp. Since we are the Shivites, this is a puffing yoga camp. We are going to emphasize yoga and play down the new age stuff. We like to go back to offering different modalities of yoga instead of bringin on the whole new age community. Also more emphasis on meditation and seva. Yes, seva the missing word from the yoga arts healing camp. I kept screaming that digging a shitter is seva in Colorado, but most folks did not get it.

Almost all of the gathering on the west coast are going to be word of mouth, since Haliburton was trolling our rainbowsfbay site prior to Colorado. I was feeling that the Feds were always one step ahead of us. So, stay in touch with your fellow rainbows so you can find out. Maybe it will be posted on welcomehere.org. Who knows?

Mini-rainbow gathering on the second floor of the San Ramon Ammachi ashram in November. Amma devotees knows what I am talking about. Get the hug!!!

So, who is going to Texas next year for the nationals and set up yoga camp? Freedom, Mark, Xylem where are you guys?? We miss you so much!!!!

Love, kiss, hug - Joji

Thanks again to all those that let me record them.
May these songs tickle your toes, put a smile upon thy face and sooth thy heart. Enjoy the muse and keep your heart strong.

I had a great time at this year's gathering. I think Seven did a great job with the Yoga camp, and Freedom Cole was missed this year after leading it for 8 years. Thanks for everyone who made it happen, all the teachers such as Major, Dharam, John, and all others. See you next year brothers and sisters. Loving you....

Greetings family,

i am leaving sunday night, is there anyone in contact with the early crew who knows what few essential items that they are in need of? I can bring some of these items from the list, but would be better to know an inventory of what has already been purchesed, and btw what about the supplies from previous years? are they in the mix?

look forward to the familiar call on the hour, reminding me to come home again and again..

sweet family bro and sis en route to the site to help setup yoga camp.
dear friend i live in community with is driving, sent him with a personal donation towards rope and a big hug for seven. he'll try to bring a cart or wagon and hopes to be there friday.
was a little harder to not go as i said goodbye to him than had he stayed and worked alongside me, yet a little easier knowing that there's that much more solid help and vision on its way to help on site.
i'm melting.

Namaste
Yoga Family of Living Light,
may i inquire as to who is interested in helping with what for yoga camp this year,
and help all yall potential stuff donators, water haulers, tarp hangers, site scouters, and yoga and healing arts teachers
find each other and plug in.

for inquiring minds,
...myself i am reluctantly choosing to shift my focus off of setup,
tho i'm available for help linking folks up with each other and information and for answering questions like,
what should i bring?
(which incidentally are pretty well covered on the website www.yogahealingarts.org
(& we can repost that list here)

i hope to help with cleanup
(in an exciting turn of events, my work schedule may allow for that)
and hope to free myself up by working longer, to help bring yoga camp to the thai world gathering.
in any case, enough about i.

absence of several past focalizers until later in the colorado gathering setup,
and the projected size of the coming gathering,
means as always and much more so yoga healing arts camp needs your help,
and i have faith that spirit will have moved enough of yall by the fabulous teachings in past yoga camps
that enough helpers will step forward to really rock out yoga camp this year and bring quality teachings to many bright beings on earth.

(colorado will be a big beautiful gathering! lots of momentum moving there from california, we all love colorado that time of year ey...)

so, i would love to encourage potential helpers by saying, speak up!
we love you!
yoga camp happens because of you!
and you! and you!

dear sweet family will indeed be carrying forth yoga camp,
fabulous teachers of all lineages will indeed be drawn together to offer topnotch teachings for free in the woods,
folks on site early to hang tarps and bring in supplies will indeed be most greatfully needed-
you will hear from said sweet family soon, details,
on what items are useful to gather and to have donated, what miracles funds are needing to be raised for,
& how to create all our highest vision of yoga camp with your inspired input and support.
let the wild rumpus start!....

AUM

this is a previous list, needs and offerings always arising and evolving on site each moment

Yoga Healing Arts Camp

Karma Yoga Volunteering
Volunteer tasks during Yoga Healing Arts Camp:

--Fill water containers with filtered water

--Keep space cleared of clutter and natural debris

--Help maintain tarps before and after windy storms

--If you use one solar shower, please fill 2 showers (teachers may shower for free).

--Come early to help set up camp!

--Dig a Loo Anytime!

From the time the Rainbow Gathering site is announced each year, volunteers are invited to help choose a flat, dry, large space within the site and to join in creating the physical infrastructure of Yoga Camp.

The rewards of coming early are manifold. In addition to seeing the Camp blossom from three campers to over a thousand, the yogi also benefits from the quiet of setup in intense practice with devoted yogic community. Setup is a time when the early mornings are spent reading Vedic texts on the techniques of yoga, the morning classes are small and intense, and the work consists of designing the space- hanging tarps, climbing trees, laying groundcover, creating altars and sacred spaces, digging latrines, hanging showers, and ensuring that one of the springwater pipelines gets laid nearby.

info for teachers

ormation for Teachers

3 rules for teaching at Yoga Healing Arts Camp:

1. Teachers must respect the spiritual space of all students, leaving any religious dogma outside of the space of class.

2. Teachers must respect the physical space of the students, acting appropriately with members of the gender that is their sexual preference. If there are any complaints there will be a council of members of the complaintant's sex to determine what action should be taken.

We have not had any complaints of inappropriate behavior by Yoga Camp teachers thus far, and this guideline is to help ensure that the space remains safe for all. Examples that some teachers set are asking the student's permission before making any physical adjustments during class and suggesting same sex partners for partnered activities.

3. Teachers pick a time and a space for teaching, and teach in that same time and space each day. If teachers have claimed a teaching space for a particular time, they must show up at that time to teach. If a teacher will not be able to come to teach in their slot they must let a focalizer know a day ahead of time, so that another class can be arranged for the space. If a teacher misses their time slot without notice, they forfeit their teaching slot for that day and each day thereafter. Why? Teachers have signed up for valuable class time. In the peak of the gathering, there will be more teachers to teach than there are spaces to teach in. Out of respect for those teachers and for the maximum informational outflow, the spaces must be utilized as planned.

Yoga Healing Arts Camp Teachers meet in circle together twice at the Gathering. One circle is in the beginning of the main week to meet each other. The Yoga Camp Vision Circle is on the 3rd of July to reflect on what went well about their week and what could change and grow for the next year.

Yoga Camp teachers are requested to ask for volunteers after their class and refer them to the focalizer area to help with tasks to help the camp run smoothly (see Karma Yoga).

what to bring

from yogahealingarts.org

what to bring to take care of yourself? Just Enough, add everything or nothing.
your bedding. warm clothes. cool clothes. walking shoes sandals. gets more complicated toothbrush toothpaste always
have energy to help the universe and the universe will help you, especially the universe in the form of family at camps and kitchens and kids village and the theater at the gathering, magical any helpful items you can miracle for creating spaces you want to hang out in and learn and share, thats cool too but there are even things that its a little essential to bring.
I made this list one year, and thought i'd repost it here especially for new folks wondering
to help a bit on the what to bring tip,
as it seems there might be a lot of people coming home for the first time this year...

each has their own style of packing, these are just suggestions. one of the beautiful things about gathering is that we all help each other out once we're there. it helps to have a heads up about what is helpful. there is a foundation that's important for meeting your own needs and here's the things i'd bring myself, anyway... with thanks to those who helped me out when i was missing this or that in the past...

---CLOTHES:
sandals
hiking boots, waterproofed
2-3+ pr wool socks
long undies- bottom essential, top nice
thick pants for nite
thin pants or shorts for day/work/yoga
skirt for fun
undies if you wear em (i bring 5 pr)
t shirts (i do 2)
tanks (i do 2)
long sleeve shirt/s for layered warmth
thick wooly sweater (or 2 thin wool sweaters)
scarf (wool, fleece, or silk)
fuzzy warm hat
maybe gloves
raincoat/parka/trashbag
rainpants
nice to have an eaxtra outer warm layer- i bring a wool poncho
also nice to have a warm blanket to wrap up and walk in @ nite
optional- pretty shawl, extra skirt, ceremonial garb, costumes

A NOTE ON CLOTHING: "cotton kills"
***this is really important in the realm we're going into, as the site is currently cold and rainy... WHEN COTTON GETS WET, IT SUCKS OUT YOUR WARMTH... get noncotton gear- wool, fleece, silk, or the unfortunately petroleum based polypropelene... especially socks, inner layer (long undies) and outer layer. if you have extra gear that you can afford to give away, bring it, because we're likely to have a lot of cold family who came in from wherever expecting colorado to be warm****

PERSONAL CARE ITEMS:
natural bug repellant/oil
biodegradeable soap (dr bronners is the ol' standby)
washcloth
small towel
"blissware"- your own dinner bowl and utensils to eat out of at
every meal, plus a cup or mug to drink out of. great to have a
bowl with a lid so you can save food in it.
a waterbottle to carry on your person, with strap is nice
a small bag to carry your blissware to meals in
any herbal meds/vitamins you'll need (coughs and runny noses
seem to come on quick via damp nights around hot campfires)
a flashlight or headlamp with batteries, for each person
(even tho i personally recommend keeping them off and walking
by the light of the night, it's nice to have one handy just in
case)
a hiking backpack with good hip support straps makes schlepping
all this stuff much nicer
or, if you've got a big rig you're driving, wheelbarrows or
carts are always handy for everybody to use in making supply
and water runs, etc., as well as schlepping your own stuff

FOR YOUR CAMP:
tent/s
tarp/s
good rope
extra blankets for sitting, wrapping in, and sleeping with
camping pad per person
cold weather sleeping bag per person
toilet paper
a camp shower is nice
a big water jug + an extra to be loaned to the nearest kitchen

~ Healing Arts Space ~ healers please discuss here

I have opened this thread as a discussion forum for those interested in participating in the healing arts aspect of yoga camp at this year's gathering. Please share your vision and together we can co-create a space for family to heal and evolve into higher mind. This is the spot to offer your services, light or energy in whatever form you choose.

Still needed: a large space such as a tent, yurt or teepee in which healers may work in a private and safe atmosphere.

Also, please feel free to contribute altar items, tapestries, candles, sage, cushions, rugs, pillows, anything else that would help to create a comfortable, lush and high environment.

Thank you for your participation, dear family. I look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Highest Love and Blessings,

Greetings and Blessings!,

Is it possible to track who will bring what? My intention is to have a balance between knowing what is coming and trusting that everything we need will arrive.

Please pass this around to friends. I am asking that folks make there intentions known through a post here or by sending an email to me at rhizomehommz@hotmail.com in an attempt to keep track of what is coming and what we still need.

I am not sure how to handle cash donations, if there were to be any, at this point. Any suggestions out there?...

focalization info download

Here's a series of emails, quite thick with information, passed between past year focalizers...
regarding the coming year, some help requests and crucial info are in here...
will try to reorganize this by topics at some point,
but please if you're interested in how yoga camp is being organized and thought about, and how to plug in, try to make it thru this reposted email conversation between myself, freedom, mark highlove, and seven...
please pitch in any ideas and tasks you'd like to help with.
love and light!
xy

From Seven:
Hi Xylem!

Seven here. I wanted to touch base before the gathering this year, see how you are doing, and offer myself to help make Yoga and Healing Arts a beautiful place to be. Are you planning to focalize again this year. I glanced at some of your recent postings and that appears to be the case. I
have not used tribe before, so I hope this gets through O.K.

I am planning to be in Colorado in early June and would love to help set up Healing Arts again. When do you think you will arrive? I am traveling light, so the only thing I think I could bring with is extra rope for tarps. However, I will gladly arrange my plans so I can be there when you
arrive and get started making it happen.

I will be on the east coast until the end of May, when I will be making my way to the gathering. I remember that you and Freedom were from New Jersey and also wanted to inquire about the possibilities of sharing a ride.

Is Freedom also putting Healing Arts together? I will look for his listing on tribe and email him also.

I can be reached at rhizomehommz@hotmail.com. If you can, get back in touch. I would love to get to check in before the gathering.

Much Love,
Seven

From Xylem to Freedom:
would love to check in with you and mark about
yoga camp- are you going to the gathering? setting up camp? i can help write rousing emails for volunteers donations etc. if i know that it's happening... i can't do setup myself this year i think you know that, I checked in with mark about it... first summer i'll spend working in seven
years. ah, seven year cycles. what planet brings those? i'd like to help bring yoga camp to the thai gathering, would love to powow with you about that.

From Mark Highlove to Xylem:
> Freedom and I both plan on being there on the 28th and have been discussing hopes for Seven or someone to go earlier and help scout a spot. please pass all volunteers on to either or both of us. thanks. 2nd to the sixth would be great as I am leaving the 5th or eve of the 4th (as usual) and late focalizers are always appreciated.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From Seven:
Folks,
I'm glad to be in touch with you all.  Xylem, yes, you can put my email out there to create a discussion loop.  I think Hunter is coming, also, so we can scout a spot and manage hanging the tarps.  Bunch of fun for me, really.
I am also willing to take a list of criteria from ya'll as to what you would most love to see in the geographical placement of Yoga Healing Arts.  I will probably pull out on the 5th or 6th. so having someone to focalize
de-construction would be ideal.
If some of the supply hook-up is on the east coast and they need help gathering supplies, I'll be in New Hampshire till the end of May.  I will not have a car, but I am willing to meet up with someone who does and get the stuff out to Colorado.
Whatever possibilities you may have in mind, let me know!  I am all about spreading this love vibe and have the time and energy to make it happen...
Much Love,
Seven
From Freedom to Seven et al:
Good to hear you are making it early Seven. The most important first thing is to get the piece of land that will be yoga camp. I mean the most important thing is the land, if it is not a good space to do yoga, then there is no yoga. The space shapes the camp, the space holds the energy, tarps, people, vibration, etc.
Our biggest problem is we need a large space and at first it doesn't look like it and people want to make use of the reserved space because they don't understand how big it will become later. At the bigger west coast gatherings this becomes more of an issue than on the east coast.
1. The land needs to be flat, and dry with relatively less (or moveable)rocks. It needs to be a workable yoga floor....
2. We need large open spaces but still trees for tarps. Normally the end of a clearing makes the best place.
3. not to close to main circle, not too far away.
4. the trail nearby should be a major trail but not a busy one (or too close) so that its noise disturbs classes.
5. there needs to be multiple coves for different teaching/practice spaces.
6. there needs to be enough space to hold the large number of people that like to tent with yoga camp, as well as a demarcation as to where not to tent for public space. In the past we have people setting up their own little villages and 'camps' in our tenting area. Most people that tent at yoga camp like the early rise shanti vibe and if we can create that space then we try to do so.
I think these are the major considerations I keep in mind when I am finding a site. Write me if you have any other thoughts/questions. After a good site is found, everything else will be rainbow magic.
I would love to be there early. But monetary situation is severely limiting this year. At this point in time, I do not have the funds to make it to the gathering at all, but I am staying hopeful that they will manifest. In the past I was a wandering baba, so I had no rent to deal with. These days I have settled in California, I teach on weekends and have set up a free vedic astrology school. Work during the week has not been substantial enough to pay bills and save a dime. So I have no money to get to the gathering, and not the ability to pay my monthly home fees if I don't work during that time. But maybe things will change before the gathering, Jah bless.
Hey xylem, do you think you could organize our mails and repost them on the yoga camp tribe so others can see the seeds of yoga camp germinating, and be able to chime in where they would like.
Love you family
Freedom
From Seven to Freedom, Mark, Xylem:
Namaste Ya'll,
Thanks for the site plan, Freedom.  I got all of that over the last few  years and it was great to see in black and white.  My biggest challenge will be to hold the line for all that space.  However, as long as there are other
committed Yoga Healing Arts folks there to hold that vision, I am willing to be firm.  How many people do you expect to camp in the area?  Knowing that may help in communicating our space needs.
Is there an email group where the logistical needs of the camp are being discussed?  Maybe we're starting that right now.  Anyhow, I am curious about present resources, i.e.  people, teachers, arrival times, tarps, ropes, etc.
Xylem's idea about a "Freedom Rainbow Fund" sounds like a great idea.  Is your intension strong to attend the gathering, if financial concerns are removed?  If yes, then you will be there.  I've done a lot of abundance work over the years and I have always found that coming to terms with a concrete amount of "money needed" enables the universe to clearly know our needs.  Try it out.  I know many, including myself, would be excited to have your
energy back this year.
Yes, I was much joyed to spend time with all of you last year. I pray that you are all holding space for something of equal or greater beauty to emerge from the void left by your absence or reduced presence...
Much Love,
Seven
"Every Child
Come
Dance..."
-Hafiz-
Subject: Re: yoga camp
From xylem:
It is a possibility (not for sure) that I will be there at gathering from the 2nd to the 6th, in which case I am willing to help take down tarps camp etc.
i pray the timing works, it will be a beautiful gathering.
it will be amazing after helping early the past two years to help late with an already created reality. give thanks.
freedom, i pray the funding manifests for you to go also on the 28th, creative funding will miracle you in i believe. there are enough lovers of yoga camp who may pitch in to a freedom in colorado fund, may i request that miracle donation train over the emails for you/us/yogacamp?
seven, thanks for writing. ii wish i could be there in
june with you and hang tarps, you're fun to work with. some friends i know are going and going early, i can check in about helpers, carriers of things to setup with, and rides from the east coast- so far the rides I know of are going from the west, midjune, but i am due to speak with our
colorado family too and see what help can be found locally.
so,
looks like seven's planning to be there even earlier than mark and freedom- can yall also help figure out a volunteer/s to bring the equipment earlier than the 28th to start setting up? seven would have a good idea of site needs and he is going early june to colorado.
if mark and freedom are in fact getting there on the 28th, and seven is willing to scout and head up a tarp hanging team (seven, you're a dope tarpologist),
it'd be sweet to have an already pimped out site for freedom mark et al to teach in upon arrival and begin focalizing other teachers.
at this gathering it's going to be big, and big means premium yoga spaces will fill up fast if not actively claimed, at least sending seven with lots of orange tape but maybe best also arranging drivers early carrying in tarps and bringing them to seven or whatnot to tarp over the weeks before the 28th,
also
it may be a neat idea, if space sets up early and previous teacher coordinators are arriving that late, to either talk about focalizing the use of the space before the 28th, or call it a free space reserved for
yoga camp to begin in, or...
or, an idea with potential -- which may take some of the stress off of all focalizers on site, coordinate times for teacher slots ahead of time via email (i'll put you in touch with the teachers who've written me about teaching and of course you all are and know some others too)...
and an 'official' beginning day of yoga camp can happen... with a somewhat already put together schedule on the 28th.
also
please tell me if this is just self indulging my own desire to teach, but i wonder if one tarp can be reserved for guest teachers, one-day-only kind of vibes, i bet a lot of teachers like m'self, tho certainly more incredible teachers than i too, may roll in for slots later than the 28th – it'd be great to have some way for late arrivals to have space without bumping teachers awkwardly out of time slots. perhaps it would benefit all beings to have a tarp teachers can sign up for slots to teach on just the
2nd or just the 3rd, 5th etc., in addition to the fullon everyday same timeslot commitment tarps as usual.
From Xylem to Freedom:
How do you feel about seven and helpers organizing teachers and starting camp before you arrive, or should it start 'officially' when you and mark get there??
From Freedom to Xylem:
Namah Sivaya
We have relatively no good pictures of the yoga camp from last year. We need to make a call out for pictures to actually do something worthwhile on the site. So lets either aim for the week after the gathering or the fall
to update the site, unless you want to write something I can pretty easily upload a word type of page, but we are lacking in good pics.
So funds to get to rainbow, I need to talk to mark about how much it will cost to get there, etc. and I need to actually have a little extra so I don't fall behind on bills here. I teach in a few hours, need to do that
kind of math a little later.
Of course they should start it as soon as things are ready. What is official at rainbow anyway? I need o talk to mark about tarps though, if we both fly then I don't know how we will get them there, and if he drives, I might as well drive with him (if there is room). Oh logistics.
Pick up this tarp in Boulder, CO (blessings)
so i got the tarp today....he says it's 65' x 15', and it's about 100-150 pounds, and if i get a chance i'll pull it out and wash it with a hose, but right now i've got it stashed behind the co-op, (i don't have a yard)....so if anyone is passing through boulder, let me know and if you can haul it out there that'd be bliss...
give thanks,
Krishna Camp is getting organized for this years gathering in Colorado.
Last year we were blessed by the family to distribute 20,000 plates of
Krishna Prasadam between the National and several regional gatherings
that we attended.  We hope to increase our halavah output this year so
nobody is deprived.
If there is any other way we can serve the family at large please let
us know.
A full video download of a movie we made from the West Virginia
Nationals is available on our website.  Also some kirtan mp3's and
photos are also available.
Greetings Friends,
Xylem, concerning the list serve:  www.coollist.com is the only one I have subscription with.  It is listed on goggle as, "Free web-based moderated and unmoderated mailing lists".  The list serve was set up by a conscious and web-savvy friend for our sustainable people-powered service troupe, the Super-Hero Bicycle Brigade (If that says anything about the choice to use cool list.)  I have never received any spam through my subscription. I joined by receiving an invitation email, clicking a link and just putting in my email and a password. Maybe you would like to check it out.
Till we find the right list serve, how would you feel about directing people here, while stating our intension to create a more accessible alternative when it comes available?
About supplies:  Can you help me out with a breakdown of what you would like to see there?  Three teaching areas?  Two for regular sessions and one with a daily sign up board for guest teachers?  How many hundred of feet of rope did ya'll bring last year?  I priced some tarps on the net.  20x20 Silver/Black two-ply, heavyweight tarp $57.99 ea on one site or a case of three for $144.00 on another.   Here's a link with a description:
http://shop.coversuperstore.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.catalog&categoryID=255
Are there chances of getting rope donated, maybe from a climbing store?  Mark has a tub of rope, shovels, twine, signs and an eraser board, yes?  An email I sent Mark <mark@ojaiyoga.org> last week came back unreachable.  Have you heard back from him?  I sent him a note @ his tribe spot.
I’ve never used the net so extensively in planning an event.  I guess we put new topic headings for discussion on the yhac tribe-site, introducing subjects, and then discuss those topics in that field?  Sometimes the net can be kinda impersonal, so I may periodically restate my intention to work with the group that materializes, co-creating sacred space for all our family, and holding kindness and compassion as my ground state.
Much Love, Seven
Seeking Yoga Tribe Early Volunteers!
Greetings All!
Xylem, thanks for compiling our conversation up to this point.
I am excited to arrive early and work with a group of people to create a beautiful Yoga Healing Arts sanctuary in  Colorado.  If you’re out there, please get in touch!
Focalizers, is their any contact with folks who would like to show up early and put this together?  That silly, Silly Love, put it a little in perspective for me.  I do not want to push against the grain to make this happen.   Instead, my intension is to nurture and grow what is naturally seeding.
I am leaving New Orleans tomorrow and am not sure what my email access will be for a bit, although once a week will surely happen.  If there are people out there who would like to meet me at the Gathering around Spring Council (June 11) and scout the site for Yoga Healing Arts, let me know.  I am willing to make a plan and make something happen.
Xylem, Mark and Freedom:  I am willing to contact folks to help gather resources.  I will also get in touch with folks I know who enjoy camping at Yoga and see what they are willing to bring.
One last thing.  I have a good friend, Ron Bocian, who teaches Sivananda Yoga and is interested in being part of the teaching team.   He has never attended a Gathering, but is interested in what it could look like.  He is running the Yoga space at Bonaroo this year and is interested in taking a step deeper into the culture.  Maybe one of you is willing to be a contact person?  Let me know and I will put you in touch…
Much Love,
Seven
Calling for Yoga Kitchen volunteers!!!
Brothers & Sister of the Yoga Rainbow Family,
We focalized the Yoga tea kitchen at the California Nationals. Did a lot of chai, dairy, non-dairy, and herbal. The tea kitchen eventually morphed into a veggie kitchen for the yoga camp!
We would really like to bring the loving vibe of a veggie/vegan/raw kitchen (depending on the chef of the day) to the Yoga Arts Healing Camp in Colorado. We are bringing all our kitchen gear and a small crew from the City of Angels. We're feeling the pull to feed not only the yoga camp, but main circle. Feeling ambitious toward seva.
What makes the rainbow gathering so wonderful is all the different energy that is put into   various projects throughout the gathering. We would like to politely ask for anyone with a belly button to help out in the kichen. If you can help for only a few hours or if you want to go big cook a meal and be a kitchen queen/king bee, we would love your energy.
Also bringing a couple of water filters, but would like an expert (we know there is rainbow out there) to rig it all up. The water can be for both kitchen and yoga camp.
It really is fun to work at the kitchen. Also it feels really good to serve food to folks that are hungry just to see a truly appreciative smile on their faces.  Besides you get to eat real good when you work at a kitchen. Just ask Seven about his experience at the Yoga Tea Kitchen in Cali.
WE LOVE YOU!!! joji
Namaste!  Here is a compilation of the last few conversations about Yoga Healing Arts 2006.  I’ve edited a bit to get to the main parts (hope ya’ll don’t mind), but hopefully have kept the thread.  The linear order may be mixed, but linear isn't always all it's cracked up to be...
Much Love, Seven
<From Seven>
Greetings All,
I would like to suggest that we use the tribe site as our list-serve, in a way.  Xylem, if you direct folks in your group email to use the "post" function on the "Yoga Healing Arts Camp" tribe site, could this serve the same function as a list serve?  I don't think the joining procedure is any more complicated than any other list serve.  The other benefit is it creates a more open circle of discussion, making room for folks who are not on your contact list to stumble upon our planning and plug-in as volunteers.  Perhaps folks who are interested through your group email could make an initial post indicating their projected arrival time, ability to bring supplies, interests as instructors, and anything else they would like to contribute.
What do ya think?
Much Love,
Seven
<From Yaja>
Howdy and,
Thanks for making all y'alls conversations public, making the powers at be seemingly a little real human.
Seven , I'm not sure what your plans are from new orleans but I'd love to be arriving sometime after missouri regional ( 28-31 May ) and finding my way westward. Probably in time for spring council. Regardless we should figure someway of linking up,
gather supplies, and mount this energy.
Feeling the currents,
Yaja
<From Seven>
Namaste Friends,
What do ya'll think?  Any movement this week?  I'm all fired up for this with way to much time on my hands right now, so tell me if I get annoying.  I have strong intensions to help create the vibe that Yoga Healing Arts Camps brings, but feel unsure where to begin.  Should I let it be and just show up like last year?  I have organized many events, but I feel as though I have little access to the players in this scenario.  I am volunteering my time and energy to this right now, if that be a useful thing.  I am willing to do whatever, you know?
I was thinking of a few folks who have attended in the past and am wondering if any of you know there where abouts, though I am horrible with names.  There was a very kind Sikh brother from Texas teaching Kundulini Yoga.  Another shaved-bald Sikh in California with an amazing gong practice.    Also, Joji(?) from Los Angeles.  If ya'll know how to get in touch with any of those folks, their contact info would be much appreciated.  They all contributed to Yoga camp the last few years and I would love to see them back.  I know there was much discussion about Joji's tea house and the energy flow of the camp, but I think it can work if placed in the proper way.  What do ya'll think?
Are tarps and rope an issue?  Are the pool covers available?  Do they need transportation?  I can start to ask for donations, but would like to know what is already been set in motion before I make a move in that direction.  Also, I don't want to step on you guys toes or disrespect the connections you've forged over the years to make this happen.  Just let me know how I can help...
I hope you see my heart is in this.  I feel that there is a majik at yoga camp, a home for all the family walking the path of spiritual discipline.  Much of my Oregon and Colorado family camps there, so I am hoping to contribute to a place for them to land, too.  Let me know what ya'll think...
Much Love,
Seven
<From Xylem>
okay, i'll help get those contacts to you... yes,
contacting these folks is definitely possible (altho i don't know the gong
guy's contact... we'll have to manifest him...) i have an account on yahoo
where i recorded all of last year's contacts, including keeping track of
who the teachers are, and there were issues with the list logistically i
think we might need to set it up as an actual listserve vibes to make
things work most efficiently, or cut and paste into chunks of emails,
anyway its a little headache but thanks to your call to action i'll get on
it tonight or tomorrow night. thanks for your patience. there are supplies
for camp in southern california some and in the bay area some. i've been
working on a ride for them early, cause if mark and freedom don't get
there till the 28th there is a need for things to go earlier if they can.
the veggie bus caravan is open to taking some gear for us but you never
know with busses so blair can't promise that it'll get there if it breaks
down or whatever... getting pool covers donated to bring in from closer
would be a good thing to do cause they're really big, and the bus is
already carrying warriors of l;ight and dunun village setups so there's
only so much of our stuff they'd want to bring in, and it'd all get
ditched with the bus on the side of the road if so... calling pool
companies (now's the perfect time) you find in the yellow pages and asking
for free recycled pool covers for an all-volunteer free camp that teaches
yoga to 1,000 people a day are the buzzwords that unlock the magic. other
supplies there's one tub of rope, mark is the contact for that and the
pool covers and the white board and just about all the gear (twine, signs,
shovel, etc...) except the five or so mats and a tool or two that freedom
has in the bay. through our family network i've just about got freedom
covered depending on the number he says he needs to get to the gathering,
but a call for donations for him and for more rope, and the incidentals-
toilet paper whiteboard markers etc.
i have the contact for john from last year he's from new hampshire i
wonder if he's thought of going he was really helpful. also have joji's
he's fully planning to come think he wants to just serve tea it'll work
out...
okay i'm dispatched... by tomorrow night more clarity thanks for your
patience
love love and light
xylem
<From Xylem>
Freedom
Maybe you can impart for Seven some of the logistics and agreements for
teachers that have worked over the years for you working out the schedule etc. that was really helpful last year and altho it's not at that stage yet the info might help bring the whole picture together.
love and light
xylem
<From Freedom>
Namah Sivaya
Yes Seven. Yes.
You have full freedom to take up the reins, and drive this crazy horse. It
is a west coaster so will be much bigger than last year.
I am still sorting things out, to see if I am going to be able to manifest
making it there. I am trying to change jobs right now and if I start a new
one in a wee or two then it will be hard to go. I am dying in my present
job, hard labor.
Mark is also unsure of the ability and time to be able to drive there, as
gas is crazy these days and driving huge pool covers is very expensive. We
have not been able to find others to be able to take them in the past, they
are huge, truck size, not car size.
But if you can manifest, then begin. The big things that need manifestation
are the supplies to set up. The people to help appear if you are there. And
Yoga Camp is known enough that 50 teachers will appear to teach, that is no
worry, you just need to manifest the ability to accommodate them all.
Love, Love and more love
Freedom
Greetings Family,
I have created a web page(with loving help from my brother) that features the "Rainbow Family Circus & Tribal Zoo" music recordings from 2000-2005. This page includes the original CD covers,song notes, and a bit of insight into this ongoing music project. There are links to each song to listen and/or download as you wish. The music links take you to the www.archive.org web site where the songs are already uploaded.  This music is magic and I hope that you enjoy them as much as I have. Thank you to all that have contributed over the years!
Pass the word and may your ears tickle
---tenali---
ps the page was also translated into spanish, and so pass the message onto those that may not speak english.
